The Technology

How HydraSafe Brake Works

A rail-mounted elevator braking system designed to stop unintended and uncontrolled motion — and help bring existing equipment into modern safety compliance without the complexity of traditional solutions.

See It in Action

Watch how HydraSafe® Brake detects unsafe motion, engages directly on the rail, and helps return the elevator to service — designed for real-world modernization environments.

Three Steps to Safety

From detection to controlled stop — HydraSafe Brake responds in milliseconds, independently of any other system.

01

Detects Unintended Movement

The system continuously monitors for any unintended elevator movement — whether caused by hydraulic failure, electrical fault, or mechanical issue. The moment unsafe motion is detected, the brake is triggered.

02

Engages Directly on the Rail

Unlike traditional systems, HydraSafe grips directly to the elevator guide rail — bypassing the drive system entirely for immediate, reliable engagement. No dependency on hydraulics or electrical systems.

03

Brings Elevator to a Controlled Stop

The rail-grip mechanism brings the elevator to a smooth, controlled stop — protecting passengers and preventing damage to the elevator system. The brake can then be reset and the elevator returned to service.

Why Rail-Grip Technology?

Traditional braking systems rely on the same hydraulic and electrical systems that can fail. HydraSafe operates independently — ensuring protection even when primary systems are compromised.

Independent of Drive Systems

Operates completely independently of hydraulic and electrical systems — the very systems most likely to fail.

Direct Rail Engagement

Grips the guide rail directly for immediate, positive stopping force — no reliance on secondary systems.
